Hello, and welcome! My name is Jenn and I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #122253). I am supervised by Mona Klausing, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #101243).

As a Lebanese-American woman, I was raised by a single mom in San Francisco, California. My earliest memories involve writing fairytales in my room, walking through Golden Gate Park on a sunny day, and listening to my family’s memories about their homeland. With this foundation, I fell in love with landscapes, identities, the stories we live, and the communities around us that help us make sense of it all.

My professional career has spanned higher education, technology & software, and – most recently – clinical training as a narrative therapist. All of these experiences have transformed my understanding of the world, as well as myself. They have shaped my career to involve creativity, listening, and transformation across different contexts.

In collaborating with my clients, I believe that people are inherently capable and resourced. I question the emphasis of our culture on “pathology”, “brokenness”, and “problems”. I resist societal messages that tell us how to act, think, look, and feel. I embrace multiculturalism, and I understand the complexities of being a first-generation American (particularly in corporate spaces). With these values in mind, I will nurture your freedom in deciding who you want to be.

My style in therapy is both comfortable and dynamic; I believe that conversation goes hand in hand with practical application. I will offer a non-judgmental space where you can speak freely, while also using art activities, mindfulness, role plays, and other mediums to help you develop tools you can use beyond our sessions.
